Using reports from the extensive field tests and exercises with NorGuard, Hartford engineers developed the Damocles into the Damocles A2 model incorporating the lessons learned. While no Damocles were places in true combat situations, feedback from those pre-production models yielded sterling improvements to the original. The A2 production model delivers improved system accessibility and parts commonality to improve strider availability rates, dexterous triple-jointed twin manipulator arms adapted from upscale Heavy Gear structures enable self-reloading of the artillery magazine, and features improved rough terrain performance similar to the Mammoth with the addition of twin auxiliary generators (as well as the including the important ability to use the afore mentioned arms to right a toppled strider). The KLG-675 artillery gun, Sargon Optics laser turrets and underslung machineguns were retained from the pre-production Damocles after admirable performance.[1]

Usage

The A2 is planned to enter into mass-production shortly as the final development model within two cycles. NorGuard units are already projected to receive the first production run as long as the current trails continue to proceed well.[2]
