Colonial Expeditionary Force
The Colonial Expeditionary Force (CEF) is the military force of the New Earth Commonwealth created to bring the lost colonies back into Earths control by force.
Overview
The Colonial Expeditionary Force (CEF) was created by the New Earth Commonwealth (NEC) to reestablish and maintain control over the colonies of Earth. Through the use of military force the CEF is determined force the colonies to submit to NECs rule.
The CEF is noted for the use of genetically-altered cloned super-soldiers called GRELs, with regular humans to command them. Their ground forces are mostly made up of heavy infantry, hovertanks, and elite commandos.
While the CEF were largely successful in their campaign, the CEF force tasked with capturing Terra Nova had the misfeature of invading at a time of heightened tension and a readiness for intense warfare. The CEF had a lot of success early in the invasion, but the polar nations pulled together to drive off the invaders, leaving a lot of personnel (human and GREL) behind.
